Happy New Year
Happy New Year all.
あけましておめでとうございます
Just a short update. On New Year day, Yuko and I went to the Shrine where we will be having our marriage ceremony in December. Unlike Meiji Jingu, it wasn’t hughly busy. Meiji Jingu is stupidly busy at this time of year, with people queuing up for hours to say their prayers at the shrine.
It was a really nice day to do it as well. A bit cold, but dry and sunny.
Ohh yes, what does osejiryori taste like………. umm, very strange. The one Yuko and I got had a lot of fish in it. I wanted to get this one because I knew Yuko liked fish a lot. Big mistake. It was full of lots of strange tasting stuff. However, we both ate from a more traditional one on Sunday (when we went to her parents). Now there was a lot of stuff in that one I quite like. I’m rather fond of pickled vegetables, which the in-laws find most amusing. They seem amazed at my ‘ability’ to eat very sour (well, sour for Japanese taste) food.
Anyway, there’s a couple of pictures over at the Gallery.
