I love it. Yesterday was pretty cool though when I was watching the news in the morning. They were talking about this special event they have in one of the northern area’s of Japan. In the town, there is a big momunment with a large ‘nabe’ (sort of like stew, casserole) pot on top of it. Once a year, they bring out the crane (the driver is proud to have done this job for the last 10 years), and lift the fricking big nabe pot off and take it down to the riverside. There, they place it on top of a huge fire. Then, they cook up a massive meal for everyone.
Everyone from the surrounding area’s then goes along to get some of this food (which they have to extract from the pot using a large mechanical shovel (JCB)!
Not that’s a pretty cool picnic!

Meanwhile, tonight is Yakiniku time again! Woohooo. This time, for a bit of office-place ‘nomikai’. One of our co-workers from the UK office is over in Japan, so it’s the ritual trip out with them.
