Well, politics in Japan maybe just as dull as UK, but once again, I ended up staying up watching the results come in (just like I normally used to do in the UK).
Boy was it a big win for Koizumi and the LDP. Although I would have preferred to see a swing towards DPJ, it was good to see at least most of the ‘rebels’ (the old fashioned, anti-reform idiots) losing most of their seats. One notable exception was ‘Horiemon’ losing out to Kamie, but not exactly suprising. Horie was never going to win after his comments about getting rid of the Emperor!
Mind you, at least ‘Assasin’ Koike ousted the other old fart that is Kobayashi.
