Newsnight covers Peak Oil.
About bloody time really, but on Wednesday 21st Newsnight at last Peak Oil was discussed.
Although the discussion got a little messy at times, and they seemed to lose the message that Peak Oil does NOT mean ALL oil will run out in a couple of weeks (instead, it means that current production capacity cannot be maintained, and will start to go into decline), it was good to see that a more mainstream programme on the BBC dedicated 40 minutes of it’s 50 programme time to the issue.

I don’t like the use of the word ‘bloody’. This issue is too important for cheap swearing. I missed Newsnight and was trying to find a sensible anaysis of what was contained in the programme.
Jackie. Somehow, I don’t think my choice of word there makes my ‘mini-review’ of the Newsnight episode null and void?!?
Although I’m glad to see you think the issue of Peak Oil is a serious one, worrying about using (relative minor compared to other ) swear words is pretty insignificant in comparison, in my humble opinion.
