Film, Film - Star Wars, Japan

Cries…

ITS NOT FAIR!!!!!

Kevin Smith (director and well known Star Wars fan) has a personally blog it turns out, and has a mini review of Star Wars Episode 3 : Revenge of the Sith.
WARNING: There are spoilers in this link. Do not read if you don’t want to know anything about what happens in the film!

For a man you has not exactly warmed to the Prequels up till now, when compared to the Holy Trilogy that is Episodes 4,5 and 6, to come out and state this film is what we’ve all be waiting for. Well, I’m setting myself up for some a big disappointment, because I’m getting pretty hyped.

Hmmm. May have to book a flight to Taiwan or Korea, just so I can watch this damn film in the same month as 99% of the rest of the world… Japan being the only country not to show Episode 3 until July. Grrrrr!!!

Japan

Damn Banks

Arrghhh. I forgot I was in Japan until about 15 minutes ago… the country where ATMs close on a holiday.
Of course, that means, as of tomorrow, the ATMs are going to be practically closed for the next week! Bugger. Just got back from getting a large wodge of cash for the coming week.
Seems everyone else had the same idea, with lots of people queing up to get money out.

Boy I hate Japanese banks sometimes.

The good thing though is that I’ve been payed a couple of days earlier than normal. :)

Japan, Photography

Great Picture

I love to read and view another Japanese blog, SushiCam.

Jeff’s pictures are something I really aspire too, but sometimes he does post the odd picture I really wish I hadn’t seen ;)

Actually, thats a pretty well timed shot.

Holidays, Japan

Golden Week

Only 1.5 days to go!!!
This Friday is the first of a whole sequence of Public Holidays in Japan.
We also have a public holiday on the 3rd, the 4th and the 5th May.
So, I’ve done what a lot of Japanese do, and booked some holiday time off work as well on the 2nd and 6th. Wooohooo.
Big holiday break (by Japanese standards). :)

What will I do? Well, certainly not leaving Tokyo. Thats what everyone else does, and the trains that leave from Tokyo are usually jam packed full of holidaying Japanese. If the weather is good, it will be great to explore.

On Monday, I’m planning on getting up earlier and heading for Tsukiji Fish Market. Will probably spend most of the day exploring that part of Tokyo.
