Japan

Shit!!! Bloody Weather

This morning, was rather annoyed to see that NHK were predicting it would be raining on Saturday. Bloody hell, that was great timing for the wedding.

Just been looking at a bunch of other weather websites.

BBC’s Asian weather for Friday, currently looks like this
Shame BBC doesn’t go any further forwards in the world weather report.

However, there was some good news when I checked up The Weather Channel and Yahoo weather reports.
Looks like the rain is Sunday. Mind you, kinda screws up the plans for taking family and friends down to Kamakura. I mean, we can still go there, but it won’t be as nice as when it’s a cold, but crisp sunny day. :(

Ahh well.

Photography

Pre and Post Photoshop

Jeff, over at Sushicam, has put up quite an interesting post. It really shows how you can change the look of some pictures using Photoshop and other Picture and RAW editing tools.

Film

How cool does this look…

Just seen the new Trailer for King Kong. I thought the Teaser made it kind of interesting looking, but the trailer makes it look seriously watchable.

Japan, Politics

Wonder if my house is safe?

Well, it’s all kicking off here in Japan.

As usual, the building industry here is proving to be corrupt as ever (its a real issue for me, because I can’t really complain about it too much with the father-in-law… he’s a builder!). Anyway, lots more stories cropping up with regards to ‘earthquake-resistance test reports’ being faked.

Here, here, here and here.
