Got sent this link, it was quite amusing.

Hmm, following on from what I wrote yesterday, it seems there has been another Nengejo cockup. This time, in Osaka, they didn’t deliver 35 cards last year, so they’ll deliver them this year, and be making apologies to the senders!

Last night, Yuko and myself ending up watching 天と地と (Heaven and Earth).

I had been looking into this film before, but the specifications on the back of the CD covers indicated that there were no Japanese subtitles.

Anyway, the other day, we had some points to use up at Yodobashi Camera, so we got it on DVD. Turned out that I’d forgotton that there were two versions of the DVD available in Japan. There’s the International (Earth) edition, which is the one we got. Then there’s the Special Edition (Heaven).

Turns out, that the Earth Edition does have English subtitles, but the ending of the film is a little different. It also has some narrated bits in English, which are then subtitled in Japanese.

Yuko was a little disappointed since the end of the film didn’t have a piece of music she rather likes. I guess we’ll be getting rid of the Earth Edition then (it was ‘free’ anyway, so we’ll sell it second hand) and get the Heaven Edition. I for one want to see the extras on that one, to see how they filmed the massive battle sequences (They are BIG!!!).

At long last, I’ve uploaded the last of the Wedding Reception photos. Well, the ones that Meg took on my camera anyway.

Yesterday, I received a couple of CDs with pictures from our friends Matt and Gareth, cheers gents.

My next task is to go through the ones supplied by the wedding company, and upload them. Then I’ll get onto Matt and Gareths.
