Da Vinci Code Part 2
Well, yesterday, we ended up taking a cinema trip to watch the Da Vinci code. Just like the book, it was enjoyable-ish to watch (as it was to read), despite it’s flaws. It’s not as bad as the critics make out. Mind you, Hanks was pretty uninspiring. I was suprised to see that Christrian groups in Pakistan joined up with the Islamic groups in Pakistan, and managed to get the film banned there.
I read this snippet of news back of the kind of things going on in Japan. Obviously a slow news day there… (another link here)
Once again, it seems that Iran and the US are still sabre-rattling with each other.
Finally, to lighten the mood, this posting by “Englishman in Osaka” explains what most of us gaijin (foreigners) go through when we meet a fellow gaijin in Japan.
