Now that it seems that the current run of Mac adverts is coming to an end in the ‘English Speaking World’…. they are being exported. It seems for most countries, it’s just a case of dubbing the English language ones….

…. but in Japan, they decided to make their own ones.

Two of them (iLife and ウイルス(Virus)) are pretty much copies of the English language ones, just with the Japanese actors. The third one (Mac and PC) is a little different. From reading around, it seems that this one is an attempt at some word-play or puns… which would be completely lost in the translation back to English. It also seems that it isn’t that amusing in Japanese….. the iLife one still is though.

What someone has noticed though is that ‘PC’ is the same comedian guy who featured in this Japanese TV clip about “How to eat Sushi” (well, how NOT to eat sushi)
