Business as normal?
Well, according to Tony Blair it is. Given how ‘ecologically aware’ Blair was becoming during the summer, this latest news story was somewhat depressing.
What do you mean “Personal sacrifices to cut emissions ‘impractical’”. Ehhhhh? How is not going on holiday to Spain on an Easy-Jet flight considered impractical??? It’s perfectly practical, you just decide not to do it, and save your money instead.
I suppose it’s all about culture change, and this was what Cameron (aka Tony Blair Version 2.0) was talking about. Mind you, given that he is Tony Blair Version 2.0, it’s all talk and no substance. I mean…
Mr Cameron also talked about his own efforts to ‘green’ his two homes, saying he had a great deal more to do.
Right, you are greening up your TWO homes. Why the hell do you need two homes!!!! Almost as stupid as cycling to the Houses of Parliament, and having your care follow you with your papers.
Finally, I see that Britian has finally finished paying of the USA for it’s post WW2 loan. Hmmm, maybe why Gordon Brown is being less US friendly now we don’t owe them anything (then again, seems after reading the BBC story closely, we still owe the Yanks some money for WW1)
