Japanese are a diverse people…
… apparently.
It turns out that it’s a big myth that Japan is a very homogenous society.
I guess they are a bunch of mongrols like us Brits (throw in a bit of Ancient Briton/Celt/Pict, add a slap of French, a bit of Norse, throw in a big chunk of German).
Suprising really that the Koreans and Chinese are more ‘pure’ than the Japanese.
What does all this mean? Well, too me, not much. They were Japanese before this was know, they are still Japanese now, and nothing about them has changed. However, one suspects that minority bunch of the raving looney Right-Wing Nationalists are going to be throwing a fit, and disputing this infomation… I mean, according to them the Japanese are racially pure and unique.
