Ouch!
My daughter’s killer has now brought shame on your country
My daughter loved this country, she loved meeting Japanese people, and thought of Japan as an honourable society, built on trust and respect.
Now, I know the man is grieving with the loss of his daughter, but… ouch. If there is any shame, it’s really with the police, who seemly let him escape rather easily. (Assuming suspect is guilty of course)
The father obviously wants the police to catch the murderer, and I guess he’s been watching too many Western-tainted psuedo-documentaries about Japan… harking on about “honour” and “shame”. He’s probably thinking a slur on the whole country my kick them into action.
