King Juan Carlos… respect to you sir!
As much as I sometimes enjoy Chavez’s taunting of the Bush administration, he’s still a bit of an arse!
So, the King of Spain gets a hardy dose of my respect for just coming out and telling Chavez to just “shut up”. Of course, Chavez hasn’t taken this lightly.
Doesn’t look the same as the photos
Not really surprised at this to be honest.
In other Japan news… Hatoyama is still being an arse.
Fuel costs are starting to have an affect in Japan… though quite a surprising one.
And finally, there was quite an interesting (if scary) story today, about an incident at Chubu airport in Japan. In the comments, there was a link to a youtube video, which was audio from another incident involving a Chinese airline in the US.
It was quite worrying because imagine the potential scene at Chubu where you have potentially a poor-English speaking Air Traffic Controller, speaking to a potentially poor-English speaking pilot.
Mind you, in the Kennedy airport incident, the US controller didn’t help by speaking quickly. Then again, if it’s a busy airport, he has to issue commands rather quickly.
And finally
At last, we’ve moved into our new bungaloo. Wooohooo. I was greeted this morning with a fantastic view out towards the Severn Estuary as it approached sunrise. A fair bit of unpacking etc to do… but the old place has been emptied now at last, thanks to the old folks and their van.
I’ll start digging up the garden soon, ready for my next batch of home grown veggies.
