A rather chilled out weekend again. Yuko was making the most of her three day weekend (Saturday, Sunday and today) since she’ll be working this coming Saturday.
As the weather was rather pleasent on Saturday, we dragged ourselves out of bed and up to the Farm Shop to get some food. Then we decided to raid the wild produce near where we live… we went Blackberry picking. Yuko seems to find picking fruit rather relaxing, and it was pretty good to get some free, tasty grub.
That evening, just before we had some rain showers, we decided to bring out ‘The Cobb‘. The Cobb is bloody brilliant. We’ve done Lamb chops, smoked fish, and smoked duck on it before. So, this time, I made some Mexican style sauce, and cooked some chicken strips on it. Fajitas! So, that went down rather well.
Sunday was again a fine day (apart from a shower at about lunchtime). This time, in some further Cobb experimentation, we tried a ‘Wild Boar cross-bred with Domestic Pig’ Pork Belly. That was roasted away for an hour. Ohhhh, that was tasty. Yuko and I are starting to think… who needs an oven?!?
