So, Japan has a new PM. Whilst I’m not convinced he and the new ruling party can bring much change to Japan… given the ‘real’ power being in the hands of the civil service, my ears did prick up when I heard that Hatoyama wants a 25% cut (from the 1990 levels) in emissions of ‘Greenhouse Gases’ in Japan by 2020. That’s a much bigger cut compared to the previous 8% stated recently by Taro Aso (previous PM).

The other great thing was that in digging around that story, I’ve found another blog to add to my list of Japan Blogs. This one by Martin appeals to me, because it’s based in Japan, and has a ‘Eco’ twist to it.
