Nightmare?!? Ehhh?

F%@king Daily Mail.
The nine-bin nightmare: Families forced to follow green zealots’ new recycling diktats

How on earth can the process of seperating your household rubbish into 9 seperate collections be called a ‘Nightmare’??!!??
Yes, a little more troublesome than just chucking it all into one bag (or say two bags if the council already collects black and green rubbish)… but to say that this is a horrific nightmare is just beyond belief.

The thing that gets me, is why they seem to think that you would have 9 bags of things to chuck out each week. Surely people aren’t throwing out clothes (white bag) each week. Other things could easily be stored and put out every month etc etc.

Grrrrr.

Japan

More temptation

More Japanese ‘Temptation’ late night TV following on from my previous post, bizarre stuff, yet I find it amusing. (Courtesy of Japan Sugoi for the initial ASUKA Kirara link)

Peak Oil

Embedded Energy

Excellent video. Love the seriously geeky big time analysis environmental impact of wiping up a spillage of mayonnaise from the floor :)

Other stuff

Considering this I feel was a rather big story, I was surprised and annoyed that it never appeared anyway in the front pages, or even lead on the front page of the business section.

And finally, ahhh, gotta love Public-Sector waste and inefficiency (there’s some things that deserve to be too important and need to be under national control, yet somethings should just be kept out of the public sector).
This is the story of Cycle-Route planning!

Politics

One up for Clegg?

Reckon Clegg (LD) ‘won’ the first debate. He probably gained the most from it in that it potentially opened the eyes of many floating voters. A feeling of the being the least dishonest out of three (inherently dishonest) politicians! ;)

Brown was bad, but not as bad as I thought he would be. But, at the end of the day… what the f**k have you lot been doing for the last 13 years!
Cameron, definite feeling of ‘used car sales man’, do I really trust him. Suspect though, he’ll get some points on Immigration and Law and Order.
