Do you know “DOCTOR WHO”, a BBC drama? It’s shown on BS2 in Japan now. I also watched it on SBS in Australia. I can’t really understand what is happening because there are no subtitles. Anyway, Gavin likes watching it. I said to him “DOCTOR WHO is on now” yesterday. Then he said “Not FU! WHO!!” I couldn’t pronounce it properly (^ ^A; I tried to pronounce for while. I could pronounce only “who” (He said OK) but if I pronounce “Doctor who” then I pronounce “Doctor FU”.

”DOCTOR WHO”というBBCのドラマを知っていますか？交番がタイムマシーンになっていて、時を旅し、事件を解決するという。今、日本ではBS2でやってます。オーストラリアでもSBSで観た気がします。いつも字幕なしで観てるので、意味が解らず観てることが殆どなんですけどね。で、この”DOCTOR WHO”、 ギャビンが懐かしいと観ているんですが・・・ 番組内容は関係ないんです。昨日、わしが「ドクター・フーやってるよ」と教えてあげたら「フーじゃなーい！WHO！！」と発音の駄目だし(^ ^A;その後、しばしWHOの正しい発音練習。日本語で言う”フ(Fの部分。Uの音を出さないように)”は息を出し、”ー(長音。ウの音とでも言いましょうか)”は息を出さずに喉を閉める感じで音出す。「WHO」と言っているだけならいいのだが、それを「Doctor who」とすると、どうもうまくいかない・・・

After dinner, you can drink beer in pub next door! You can enjoy pool. There are a lot of Aussies watching AFL on screens at the weekend.

レストランではカンガルー肉がリーズナブルで食べられます。勿論、おいしいです。パブフードも侮る事なかれ！ビールもいろいろな種類があって、各ビール毎にお薦めフードがメニューに書かれているので試してみてはどうでしょう？

We had a stone steak in here. A raw chunk of meat is put on a really hot stone plate, you cook your self. I had kangaroo steak. I heard kangaroo is smelly and hard but it was yummy! A waitress told us, Kangaroo is better to eat rare otherwise its too hard and chewy.

ここでは石焼ステーキを食べました。熱々の石にステーキ肉が生のままどかんとのっていて、自分で焼きながら食べるんです。わしはカンガルー肉を頂きました。カンガルーは臭くて固いと聞いていたのですが、とてもおいしかった！カンガルーは火を通し過ぎると固くなるのでレアくらいで頂くのがいいそうです。

It’s just a chocolate bar.
I recommend “HEAVEN raspberry cream”!
(In fact, I haven’t tried others) It’s raspberry-jam inside white chocolate, and you can feel raspberry seeds.
I usually don’t like white chocolate, but this is really tasty! It’s a good balance of sweet and sour.

板チョコなんですけど、わしがお勧めしたいのが（というか他の味は食べたことがない）ラズベリー・クリーム！ホワイトチョコにラズベリージャムが入っていて、そのラズベリージャムもラズベリーの粒が感じられます。わし、ホワイトチョコはあまり好きじゃないのですが、これはうまい！ラズベリーがホワイトチョコの甘さを抑えていてバランスがいいです。
